The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said that Wednesday afternoon they received several notifications about the video, and sheriff’s office detectives worked with the Dayton Police Department to identify the woman, who was found and arrested in Harrison Twp.

“The child is safe and in the custody of Children Services,” the sheriff’s office said.

A video shared on social media showed a woman leaning over a crib and repeatedly striking a wailing infant.

“We want to thank the community for bringing this to our attention. Please remember, if you see something, say something!” the sheriff’s office wrote.

Ryan was arrested and booked into the Montgomery County Jail, and was in the jail at the time of writing.

She is scheduled to be back in court Aug. 21.
